Nestled between the mountains and the sea in the West of Ireland, the Connemara Championship Golf Links is an exhilarating golfing experience.
This awesomely picturesque 72 par course with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean was designed by Eddie Hackett and measures over 7,000 yards. Wind and rainbows are the specialty of the house at this 27 hole course which was started in 1973.
For the Golf addict: The Abbeyglen Castle Hotel also has a small 9-hole Pitch and Putt course.(for the summer)

The hotel has a 4-mile circular historical walk available from the hotel and there are a number of fantastic walks around the Twelve Bens Mountains, which are close by.
The hotel provides an extensive brochure full of beautiful local walks, which are suitable for all ages.

There are 3 deep-sea angling providers near the hotel.
River fishing and lake fishing may also be organised locally.

The hotel can arrange bicycles for rent.
